Departed from Naples on 22 January 1941on board of the ‘Marco Polo’ Ship
Arrived in Tripoli, Africa, on 25 January 1941.
Actively fought during WWII until he was captured on 25 December 1941.
Captured and interned near Camp Number 103 called ‘Villaggio Agricolo Mameli’ in modern Libya (left there with other wounded soldiers during the second retreat).
Transported to Tobruk at New P.O.W. Camp.
Boarded on the Hospital Ship Number 25 ‘Somersethsin’.
Arrived in Alexandria (Egypt) and transferred by train to Geneifa, to the 19th General Hospital - 7th Ward P.O.W. Hospital until 11 March 1942.
Passed through P.O.W. 306th Camp near Geneifa.
Interned in the 7th Gate convalescent home for 30 days.
Appointed Commander of 2nd Company (made by protected and convalescent personnel).
Moved to Camp 310 Suez on 30 July 1942.
Boarded on the military ship ‘Duchess of Richmond’ (where he is appointed to command a service unit on the ship) on 9 August 1942.
Arrived in South Africa in Durban (Natal) on 26 August 1942 and transported through the Pietermaritzburg transit Camp for his generalities. There he is destined to Zonderwater.
Arrived at Zonderwater P.O.W. Camp on 10 September 1942.
Appointed as Commander of the 3rd Company of the 40th Camp of the 19th Block.
Appointed as Commander of the 2nd Company of Camp 38th of the 10th Block.
Assigned to work outside of the camp for 6 months in Bultfontein.
Appointed as Commander of the 13th Theatre Company of the 23rd Camp of the 6th Block.
Appointed as Commander of the 6th Theatre Company of the 2nd Camp of the 1st Block.
Transferred to the 5th Workers' Camp as deputy commander and, upon the repatriation of the commanding marshal, he assumed command until repatriation.
Passed through the Repatriation Camp as Commander of the A/130/89 Group. Transited again through Pietermaritzburg Camp and arrived in Durban, where he boarded the ‘Tusculanum Victory’ ship to Naples, Card n. 3789
Arrived at the port of Naples on 31 December 1946.
Continued his military life as an Army Officer in the 132nd Ariete Brigade of the ‘corrazieri’ of the Italian Army in Pordenone until retirement.
Died at the age of 85 in 1997.
